Mahmood

Masood Mahmood is the CEO of Yahsat, the UAE-based satellite communications operator, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company. In addition to this position, he is a Board Member of the UAE Space Agency, DU Telecommunications company as well as Chairman of DU Investment committee. Masood is also a board member of Yahlive, a satellite broadcasting venture between Yahsat and SES, in addition to being a board member of the EMEA Satellite Operators Association, the global satellite industry trade association.

Couturier

Quentin Couturier is Head of BFE and Contracts at Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In his 14 years working in the aerospace industry, he has been involved in various areas of the business from R&D to Development, Customer Support, Program Management, Procurement and Contracting. Now leading the Aircraft Customization Purchasing Department of a global airline, he aims at pushing the boundaries of Onboard technology and Aircraft Interiors. Examples of key project are the Etihad A380 Residence and award-winning B787 curved aisle first class.

Betermier

Graduated from Polytechnique, Supaero, Jean-Marie Betermier started his career at CNES, the Frecnh Space Agency in the Technical Directorate.

Jean-Marie integrated then the CS (Communication & Systems) Group, and had several management positions.

In 2001, after CS was acquired by the Gunnebo AB Group, Jean-Marie held several positions of CEO for different BU of the Group. Form 2008 to 2012, he was the CEO of IER the terminal and system division for Airport and Airlines ticketin solutions.

Since 2013 he has been managing ZODIAC DATA SYSTEMS.

Mitry

Mina Mitry is one of the co-founders and CEO of Kepler Communications, a satellite telecommunications company that delivers global connectivity for enterprise and governments, from large data backhaul from remote locations to globally-available smart asset tracking. Mina holds a bachelor's and a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto. Prior to Kepler, he helped build and scale two startups, teaBOT and Brizi.

Hart

Dan Hart currently serves as President and CEO for Virgin Orbit, Richard Branson’s pioneering commercial space firm, launching small satellites into space from a rocket carried under the wing of a modified Boeing 747. 

Over the course of his career, Dan has served in senior leadership roles across a wide range of aerospace programs, spanning human spaceflight, satellite development, launch, and missile defense and running through all phases of the aerospace product life cycle, from research and development through design, production, and space-flight operations.

O'Connell

Matt O’Connell is an Operating Partner at DCVC (Palo Alto). He joined DCVC in 2020. The space segment of DCVC’s portfolio includes Planet (Earth Observation constellation), Capella (small sat SAR constellation) and Descartes.

Philip is responsible for Rezatec’s commercial development, international expansion and partner relationships. He has over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, holding senior management positions across a diverse portfolio of companies in a range of vertical markets including environmental sustainability, forestry and satellite applications sectors, with a particular focus on analytics.

Steen

Kevin Steen is president and chief executive officer of ST Engineering iDirect, a global leader in IP-based satellite communications. Steen joined the company in 2010 and has served as a key member of its leadership team, where he has been responsible for charting the company’s strategic growth across sales, operations and business development.
